Marlene Chong
Registered Clinical psychologist
Marlene is a warm and pragmatic clinical psychologist who works collaboratively with children, adolescents, and adults. She brings genuine curiosity, compassion, and a respectful presence to each therapeutic relationship, valuing the unique story every individual carries. Her work is grounded in partnership—supporting clients to explore their strengths, navigate life’s challenges, and move toward meaningful growth.
Since 2002, Marlene has worked across a wide range of settings, including universities, non- government organisations, and both public and private health services, as well as in private practices. Her experience spans child protection, juvenile justice, child and adolescent mental health, and trauma-informed early years intervention. These diverse contexts have shaped a responsive and relational approach to care.
Her clinical perspective has also been shaped by her time living and working in Singapore, which gave her a richer appreciation for cultural diversity and cross cultural understanding. Marlene is continually inspired by the resilience of the individuals and families she works with and is grateful for the insights and growth that each therapeutic relationship offers.
